Introduction

Baobab Garden Design is a new design practice established in 2008 and based in Notting Hill in London. We deal with clients all over London, throughout the UK and overseas. We always seek to work collaboratively with each client, working as closely as is required and desired. This personal yet professional relationship allows us to deliver each and every client a stunning outside space.

Modern

We are known for designing and creating gardens that successfully blend the clean and geometric ‘hard lines’ of modernism with the softness of lush and contemporary planting. The design initially emanates from two places: firstly from the individual needs and requirements of the client and secondly from where the space is situated. A garden should successfully sit within its surroundings, and its unity with the house and its landscape is a primary concern of ours.

Classic

The hard landscaping within our schemes is characterised by simplicity, geometry and order, achieving the ‘aesthetic economy’ of modernism. We use classic and natural materials to create this stylised structure of your outside space. Lighting, sculpture and water within the garden are all designed too.

Planting

The planting within our designs is where the personality of your garden is expressed. Our contemporary and innovative planting mainly comprises perennials, architectural shrubs and grasses, each selected for their texture, habit, shape or colour, to complement the scheme.

Green

We passionately believe in the environment and our design philosophy reflects this. We carefully specify and source all of our hard landscaping materials, ensuring that all FSC codes are strictly adhered to. We also like to recycle water in the garden, whether it is grey water or harvesting rainwater. We design green roofs and walls and create planting schemes that encourage wildlife and biodiversity.
